Files and media tool

Plan a file before it misses the limit

Solve file size, bitrate, or duration, then estimate transfer time and storage capacity without hiding bytes behind vague units.

Decimal and binary units are both shown

Storage makers commonly use decimal units: 1 GB = 1,000 MB. Operating systems often report binary units: 1 GiB = 1,024 MiB. This planner displays both so the plan can match the limit or device you are working with.

Formula: file size in bytes = bitrate in bits/second × duration in seconds ÷ 8. Real transfers may take longer because of connection variability and protocol overhead.
